1. Photos:  Yes, a picture is worth a thousand words!.  Usedchillerstore.com allows sellers to upload photos of what is being offered for sale. We recommend taking several pics of your equipment from different angles to give potential buyers a good idea of the general condition of your equipment. After listing your equipment, you should always have a look at your live add. If you photo's seem like they are loading slow, you should consider performing some editing to reduce the size. For best results you should use photo files no larger than 100KB.

2. Documents: If you have any original documentation on your equipment, you should  indicate what you have in your add. If you want to go the extra mile, you can scan the covers of each document you have into a pdf format and post that with your listing as well.

3. Plan what to say: Make a list of features that your equipment has on it. Common chiller related items would include: Hotgas bypass, compressor unloading, variable fan speed control etc...  The more items you can list the better.

4. Plan your price and terms:  Since usedchillerstore.com only connects sellers and buyers we do not get involved in pricing, terms or shipping arrangements. We view this as a conflict of interest. Before posting a new listing, we recommend that sellers do a little homework to determine value.  Form more information and general guidelines on determining value see the FAQ section of this site.

The length of time it takes to sell your used chiller equipment can vary greatly depending an extremely dynamic market climate. We recommend setting your account to a term no less than 60 days. Please keep in mind that your add will automatically expire after the term you selected so make sure to log in and check your seller account on a regular basis. Once your add expires, you can renew at no cost.

Note: As you draft your offering, we recommend using your favorite word processing program such as Microsoft Word. This will give you the opportunity to use built in text edit tools as the usedchillerstore.com system does not provide such tools. Once you get your text exactly the way you want it, you can copy and paste the text into the usedchillerstore.com listing screen. This method will also protect you from web connection problems that could interrupted a posting to a point that you may need to start over. If you already have your listing text saved on your local machine, you will not need to type the listing over again. If you are listing more than one piece of equipment you can use you previously saved text as a template as well.

LISTING YOUR EQUIPMENT

After you get the above information together, you are ready to place your listing on Usedchillerstore.com. Here are the steps to follow:

Step#1: Sign up for a "New User" account.  To access the registration page, click on the "My Account" link in the menu bar above. Once the pages loads, click the "Register" button in the middle of the page that will take you to the registration form page.

Step#2 : Complete the registration form then click "Continue".  Shortly after completing your registration, you will receive your username and password via email. Make sure to retain this information for future access to your account.

Step#3: After registering, you will automatically be put into a "Chiller Listings" page. Once you are logged in, there will be a "Submit a new chiller listing" link on the "Chiller Listings" page and the "My Account" pages to list your chillers FREE.  You can also update your chiller listings at any time by logging in and going to the "My Account" page.  IMPORTANT:  On each listing, you will be given a choice to allow potential buyers to contact you via phone. The default for this option is set to YES when you create new listings.

A note about buyers making contact with sellers: When a potential buyer wants to make contact with a seller and they click on the "Contact Seller" link, here is what will happen:

1. Once your listing goes live, potential buyers will be able to view all details about your offering as you have listed it. If a buyer wants to contact a seller, they can do so by way of a "Contact Seller" link located on each "Chiller listing details" page.

2. When a buyer selects the contact seller link, a form page will open requesting the potential buyer to input their contact information. When the form is submitted by the buyer, the seller will receive an email providing information on what listing generated the inquiry as well as the buyers contact information. NOTE: As indicated above, if the seller leaves the options ON (default) to display seller information, the sellers Name, Phone number and other information will be displayed on your listing. We have found that sellers will increase their add responses by about 75% if they allow potential buyers to call them direct from an add as compared to filling out the contact request form.

3. Once a seller receives a notification email, it's very important that the seller make contact with the potential buyer as soon as possible.
